Saturday, December 8, 2007

Content is definitely king but at the same time Page Title and Meta Description also as king because they are as important as page content. Many sites are there running with less content but powerful Title and Description tag on top and some sites on top with no description, no keyword tags, just Page title and Page content.

Page content should contain the keywords but keywords should not be stuffed in the content. The content should be readable to the users. Hidden text as page background or use CSS to hide the text should never use.

Use heading tags in the page i.e. H1, H2 etc…but it should used only when needed and misuse of these tags may ban you from search engines. Now a days search engines are becoming very smart and detects search spam done using Heading Tags and CSS.

Footer part should contain link to the important section of the site and in this you can include keywords too. as if you have 2 different sections News and Reviews then you can have links with text Technology News, Tech Reviews etc.

Some people prefer stuffing keywords with the footer copyright note but there is no point in that and should not be done.

PPC Stands for Pay Per Click

A search engine in which the ranking of your site is determined by the amount you are paying for each click from that search engine to your site. Examples of pay per click search engines are Overture etc. we are also select paid keyword from digital point such as overture.

In other word we can say about PPC, Search engine where results are ranked according to the bid amount, and advertisers are charged when a searcher clicks on the search listing.

Pay per click (PPC) marketing as it applies to the search engine industry. PPC marketing is the act of sponsoring an advertisement that appears when a user types in a matching keyword selection. Successful PPC Campaigns require Creativity, Measurement and Vigilance.

Pay per click bid management also requires some type of service or assistance (manual, software, or both.) There are several contributing factors that make PPC campaigns complex. The first is measurement and cost; companies are spending thousands per day to bring new visitors to their web sites. How do you justify and calculate an ROI against at these traffic levels? Another complexity is simply the sheer volume of data paid search campaigns tend to generate. Consider that your organization has 100 keywords. Now multiply your list times 5 for all verb tenses, plurals, and misspellings. You can begin to see your actual keyword selection list take shape.

Main job should to identify and eliminate keywords that result in waste, and to monopolize keywords that are profitable. That's how we define PPC management and optimization.
